Writing Contest Starting Today!

As you all know by now, TJM is having a little writing contest for our viewers. There is a cash prize for first, second and third place finishers. Read on to see the rules for this contest.

  1. Submissions will be accepted in English only. (We do not have a team of translators on staff.)
  2. Speaking of staff, this contest is only open to our readers. Current contributers are excluded from this contest.
  3. Essays should be 250 words or more.
  4. In keeping with our current rules for posting, please refrain from vulgarities.
  5. All submissions should be sent to submissions@thejesusmyth.com. This is the only place submissions will be accepted.
  6. Submissions will be accepted for one week only. The deadline is July 28, 2007. After this, the submission address will be removed.
  7. Once all submissions have been collected, they will be posted on July 29, 2007 for voting. This helps to esure that no one gets a head start in the polls.
  8. Voting will end on August 4, 2007.
  9. Please enclose your PayPal email address. Winners will be paid through PayPal.
  10. First place recieves 70% of the total pot, second place recieves 20% and third place recieves 10%. (Donations will continue to be accepted through the voting process via the ChipIn widget in the far right sidebar. Pot total not to exceed $100.00.)
  11. And finally, the topic. In honor of Bertrand Russell, the topic for this contest is, “Why I am Not a Christian, or Any Other Religion For That Matter.”
